Our Story
The saying "One for the Kitchen, One for the Soul" perfectly captures the essence of Label Kudi Patola. In 2016, this brand was born as a passion project to fulfill the creative soul/spirit of a mother and daughter duo - Archana and Surbhi Jain.
At the time, Surbhi Jain was serving as the Dean of the MBA program at a prestigious B-School in Delhi. However, her passion for fashion, combined with the talent and guidance of her self-taught textile expert mother, Archana Jain, who had an impeccable sense of fabrics and styling, inspired her to create Kudi Patola. With a family legacy of over 80 years in textiles and a degree in Fashion and Retail from Pearl Academy Of Fashion, Surbhi decided to leverage her family’s expertise and take the plunge into the world of fashion. Together, they launched Kudi Patola and showcased their unique creations at various exhibitions across India, quickly gaining recognition. In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, the business faced significant challenges, and the brand was temporarily put on hold as the family navigated through a personal crisis.
However, in 2024, Surbhi brought new energy and vision to the brand, relaunching it as 'Label Kudi Patola'. Now, the brand focuses on curating exquisite handcrafted dupattas and exclusive kurta sets, blending timeless craftsmanship with modern flair. The vision is to offer products that are classic, contemporary and sustainable, celebrating the perfect fusion of tradition and style.
Brand Philosophy,
“At Label Kudi Patola, we want to offer dupattas and kurta sets that empower women to express their individuality and confidence through versatile, stylish, and culturally inspired fashion that celebrates every woman’s unique journey”, adds Surbhi. We source sustainable fabrics from ethical suppliers and employ skilled artisans. Every piece is created to last and is a testament to thoughtful design and quality.
